![]() ![]() I booked this trip online without ever stepping foot in the resort, therefore, I relied entirely on the information provided on the website when making my decision. When you feel relieved to be leaving you know it was not a great stay. There is no room cleaning during your stay. I have no idea what the resort fee is for. If you don’t want to hear a herd of elephants walking above you make sure you get a room on the top floor! And the fireplace stays on about 10 min before shutting off. ![]() We had a fireplace suite with a love seat and it was like sitting on a log. The girl at the towel desk didn’t even look up at us, just a bored “how many.” I can’t imagine anyone spending more than an afternoon here there just isn’t enough to do. Unfortunately no staff intervened when children were in the adult hot tub. There is a family hot tub and an adults only hot tub. The water park: it is small and not well kept. The noise started at 7 am and went until after 7 pm every day. We were placed on the first floor and the patio door was locked due to the construction and we had to keep the curtains closed. The website states the resort has some construction happening. Stayed here for four nights, Mon-Thurs., mid-October. It was clean, the staff was helpful and friendly, and we plan on returning soon. For the family that would normally get all of that, they're a good value. I don't think my kids enjoyed them enough to be worth the money and we probably wouldn't have bought all the items for them if we didn't have the passes. We did purchase and Wolf and Pup passes for the kids, but likely won't get them again. Some of the other things I appreciated were the water bottle refilling station and microwaves and refrigerators in the rooms. My kids don't know how to swim and I am always a little on edge when they're around water, but I felt confident they were safe here and I appreciated all the extra eyes on them. I'm not sure she ever even landed in the pool. The lifeguard at the top whistled to the lifeguard at the bottom and he had her in my arms before I even registered that she'd come down the wrong slide. ![]() She's fast and fearless and hopped on the neighboring slide that shared the landing before he could stop her. My husband walked her to the top of the slide and I waited in the pool at the bottom to catch her. The lifeguards were all very conscientious and one even had to rescue my 3.5 year old. Most of the kids were around the same age as my two and I didn't worry about them being run over by bigger kids and was comfortable letting them climb the main tower on their own. I'd read online reviews that this location was smaller and didn't have some of the big slides, but it was perfect for us. We stayed midweek with our 3.5 and 5 year olds. Our family had never stayed at a themed lodge or water park so it was a very nice getaway! We would recommend this spot to other families with young children. Additionally, there were only two small elevators for the whole lodge (which get packed with families moving through the lodge often). The carts were very small and barely fit anything (we saw some families make three or four trips) and they barely fit through the entranceway or the room doors. The biggest downfall was the accessibility of loading and unloading our things when checking in and out. We preferred the snack area (pizza, ice cream, etc) over the restaurant for quality. The restaurant had adequate food, but the quality did not match the price. He also enjoyed the arcade which we felt required some updating (e.g., many cranes did not work or there were a limited number of prizes), but there were a nice variety of games for varying ages. Our son enjoyed the water-park (not too crowded for an indoor park) and the area was well-kept. Overall, our experience was very good! The lodge was very clean, the room was spacious and quiet, and the employees were pleasant. Our family of four (two adults, a three year old, and a six month old) spent two nights (Monday & Tuesday) at the lodge. ![]()
